Appointment Protocol

(Updated as of April 2, 2025)

In order to achieve the highest level of efficiency and service, we have instituted a modified curbside policy, meaning that clients are allowed inside the building for consultations and surgery admission.  Dental progress examinations with our Licensed Veterinary Technicians will remain a curbside process.  If you prefer, your consultation or surgery admission can still be performed as a curbside appointment.

When you arrive, please stay in your vehicle and call our office at 315-445-5640 to let us know you're here. When bringing your pet into the building they must be secured either with a leash and collar for dogs or a sturdy carrier for cats to ensure safe transport.

If your appointment is for a consultation, a Licensed Veterinary Technician will ask detailed questions and then direct you to meet them at the front entrance with your pet when the doctor is ready. You will be escorted directly into an exam room, where you will remain for the duration of the appointment. The doctor will perform an examination, share their findings and recommendations with you, and answer any medical questions you may have. A technician will then discuss a customized estimate based on the recommendations.  A surgical procedure can then be scheduled with our surgery coordinator if indicated.

If your pet is presenting for a dental surgery, a Licensed Veterinary Technician will escort you directly into an exam room. There they will ask detailed questions regarding your pet and then direct you as to the next steps.

If your pet is presenting for a progress examination with one of our Licensed Veterinary Technicians, then your pet will be brought inside at that time and you will be advised as to your next steps.

Thank you for your understanding as we strive to provide exceptional service to our clients and patients.  Please feel free to contact us to address any questions or concerns you may have.
